Premium FTP client for MacOS

Transmit is a freemium FTP client that's been designed specifically with Mac computers in mind. You can avail of its service for free for seven days but afterward, you will be required to purchase its one-time pay license in order to continue using the platform. Here, you can upload, download and manage all of your files on tons of servers with so much ease.

Backblaze B2, Box, Google Drive, DreamObjects, Dropbox, are among the cloud services that Transmit supports. It also presents a neat dual-pane interface that empowers you to easily find, search, drag and drop folders that you need.

What is the transmit app?

Transmit is an efficient FTP client that upholds SFTP, S3, and iDisk/WebDAV protocols that allows you to upload, download, and delete files over the internet. What first strikes you with this file transfer companion is that it has one of the most Mac-like interfaces available on the market. Everything's clearly laid out with folders on the left and transfers on the right. Transferring any sort of file is fast and streamlined and you can easily edit anything you wish to send.

Furthermore, it permits you to create drag and droplets for items you often work with. With this, you can move files comfortably between folders or view them into multiple tabs. This convenient sharing server now includes Panic Sync—the most secure and instant way to sync with sites—and integrate with Finder. This means that you can mount an FTP volume on your desktop just as you would on any external drive. However, the program exhibits some worrying concerns like whenever trying to access the preferences, it freezes.

More improvements

It's been a long time since Transmit has implemented a huge update into their system thus, almost every area of it has improved significantly. For instance, a get info sidebar was added wherein more intricate details regarding certain files can be inspected as you browse into them. With just a single click, you'll be able to jump to your favorite folders as well. Not only that, you can efficiently manage and generate secure keys without needing to leave the application.

More importantly, Transmit now includes a built-in batch rename feature that will enable you to replace the text of multiple files and folders. It now also supports both local to local and remote to remote syncing. In terms of enhancements, on the other hand, it revamped the remote URL copy, File Rule options, as well as the file sync progress bar. Furthermore, you can now navigate in an all brand-new user interface that permits you to copy and paste files effortlessly.

A gold standard in file transfer

Not everything works fine and too expensive. I tried during trial period. Quite fast but a bit old fashion and not user friendly enough. Tried Cyderduck, Via FTP and Fetch. Like Cyberduck and Via FTP the most... Pros: speed Cons: GUI, Transfer management

Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
